It is with a spirit of deep appreciation that we announce the retirement of the president of ESM Consulting Engineers, Eric LaBrie, effective at the end of 2023.
His 19-year career with the firm has truly been remarkable, and we wish him well in his future adventures.
Eric joined ESM in 2004 as our Director of Planning and was quickly promoted to Vice President when he joined the ownership group in 2005. Eric served as ESM’s fourth President and Chairman of the Board since 2015, making him ESM’s longest-serving leader since our founder, Bob Scholes.
In Eric’s words, “I am excited to see what the future holds for ESM. There are so many opportunities here in the Pacific Northwest and I know that the next group of leaders will be ready and able to take ESM to the next level. I will certainly miss the unique opportunities for problem-solving that come with this industry, but mostly I’ll miss the folks that make ESM such a special place to work.”
Eric has been instrumental in fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and integrity throughout the company. His strategic insights, deep industry knowledge, and unwavering commitment to the company’s mission have been pivotal in positioning ESM for continued success.
Trevor Stiff, ESM’s current Vice President and Director of Engineering, will make the move to President upon Eric’s retirement. Trevor’s 22 years of experience within the company prepared him well for this new role.
